Global Wildlife Resources (GWR) is offering a exclusive 3-day buffalo and wildlife chemical immobilization course April 21-13 (Tues-Thurs), 2026 at the Aaniiih Nakoda College in Harlem, Montana. This course is designed specifically for tribal professionals and students and is offered by invitation only.

This immersive training with live animals is the most powerful opportunity to learn chemical immobilization of free-ranging buffalo and other wildlife. There are hands-on labs each day (see Buffalo Course Agenda). This includes practicing chemical immobilization with 600 lb show heifers with a hand injection on Day 2. On Day 3, course participants will free-range dart 2-4 buffalo bulls from a herd of 600 animals in a 2,000 acre pasture.

HANDS-ON LABS EACH DAY

  • Practice Chemical Immobilization Lab on Day 2 - Participants will immobilize 600 lb show heifers for practice with a hand injection
  • Field Day Final Lab on Day 3: Participants will free-range dart 2-4 buffalo bulls
  • Drug Delivery Systems - opportunity to practice the most effective projectors (dart guns)
  • Needle & Syringe Skills - building professional habits for practical field use and human safety
  • Blood Collection Practice Station - practice proper techniques for successful blood collection

GWR courses are often profound personal and professional experiences.

GWR courses will strengthen success, animal care, and confidence.

We will refund the full course fee for cancellations made prior to 30 days before course start. Cancellations less than 30 days before course start are subject to 50% fee.
